Apple's Spring 2021 Event: What's New and Where to Buy

This brand doesn’t need an introduction. The other day, Apple released the latest updates of service-based devices and software at Spring Event 2021. You can watch the full presentation online at the official site, but we prepared the list of main updates for your convenience.

iPad Pro

Creators improved connectivity and upped storage. Now, iPad Pro can support 5G, plus has a good ultrawide-angle front-facing camera (12Mp) which means an opportunity for a 2x virtual zoom (during video calls camera will identify faces and crops).

From this moment, iPad Pro 12.9 owners can enjoy real colors with a new display (Liquid Retina XDR) based on mini-LED technology.

But the main update is an M1 chip that provides up to 50% improved performance.

AirTag

New Apple accessory that helps keep track of any stuff that you are afraid to lose. AirTag Apple is a tracker that connects with the whole Find My ecosystem and allows users to find important things with an attached tracker but at the same time keep confidentiality and safety.

Pre-order is starting, but it will be available from April, 30 at stores such as BestBuy.

iMac

M1 powered devices became more compact: 11.5 mm thin and 24-inch, aluminum body and glass front, soft-colored simple design of device and accessories. Now, redesigned iMac has a 4.5K Retina display, level-upped speakers, smart camera, and TouchID keyboard.

You can order the device starting April 30. Available from the second half of May.

iPhone

As you already understood, this is not the main product at this event, but Apple announced a new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in new purple color. These models will be available with a new preinstalled iOS 14.5.

Pre-order now, or wait a few days - it’ll be available from April, 30 at Verizon, etc.

Apple TV 4K

A new generation device upped to A12 Bionic chip. Now, Apple TV 4K works in pairing with select iPhones that’s why you get the ability to calibrate the color and white balance through your smartphone. This tvOS supports HFR (reproduces HDR with a high frame rate).

The TV remote received a new design and functionality: aluminum corps with standard clickpad, touchable panel for improved navigation, and TV control.

Available at the second half of may at Amazon and other stores; pre-order from April, 30.

iOS 14.5

With the new iOS 14.5, the system receives a lot of features for your convenience. Here is a possibility for Apple Watch owners to unlock your iPhone with FaceID while you are in a mask, 5G support (for the latest iPhone models users), absolutely redesigned Podcasts, updated Maps with messages about accidents or speed checks, and more other features, updated and redesigned apps.

Available for free for owners of iPhone 6s, and upper.
